Leadership we can trust
Nina Schmidbaur is the most qualified candidate in this race, with deep roots having grown up in Saugerties and raising her daughter here. She has demonstrated perseverance and vision. We can trust her to make leadership decisions for Saugerties because she has gained our trust through her dedication to our community.
A Woman with Vision
Nina restored a Queen Anne from the 1880s after it stood derelict for 30 years, bringing her vision of a holistic health center to life! This beautiful structure serves as a beacon of hope on the gateway to the village. May she inspire others to preserve historic buildings.
Clovelea is now a thriving business that houses psychotherapists, acupuncturists, and wellness practitioners.
A Candidate with Roots
Nina grew up in the village of Saugerties and is now raising her daughter here. She walked with Arm-of-the-Sea Theater in the 4th of July parade, played AYSO at Cantine Field, and volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club. She knows the town in a way that is unique to those who grew up here and many of her classmates are now fellow business owners and parents.
Small Business Owner
Nina is a small business owner, operating a group therapy practice. She got her Masters in Social Work (LCSW) in 2014 from SUNY Binghamton and opened up her psychotherapy practice, Saugerties Therapy Center, in 2020. It serves folks of all ages (2-102) and specializes in Neurodivergence and the LGBTQIA+ community. Now offering free therapy groups in partnership with a local nursing home, library, and school.
